Resources for an organized independent business.

What are these partner resources?

These resources help an independent property-service business prepare an introduction, review a proposed work order and organize completion records. Use the checklists below as planning prompts. The accepted agreement and work order determine the actual documents and outcomes required.

A guide for independent businesses: review the scope and make your own decision.

1. Business-readiness resources

Start with the application guide. Prepare your legal business name, trade name, business contact details, service specialties and actual coverage area. Describe relevant experience and the work your company is equipped to perform today. Keep insurance, license and renewal information organized so you can respond if documentation is requested.

Do not attach tax forms, banking details or government identification to the initial contact form. Request the appropriate secure workflow if further records are needed. Confirm the required document, intended recipient and submission method before sharing it.

2. Work-order review checklist

Before accepting a proposed scope, review the requested outcome, exclusions, location, access, timing, materials, price and completion evidence. Record any unresolved question. Your business may accept, decline or seek clarification; an initial interest request does not commit you to future work.

3. Communication outlines to adapt

Scope clarification

Identify the work order, describe the unclear requirement, explain what information is missing and ask the designated contact to confirm the agreed scope before work starts.

Changed condition

Record what you observed, how it differs from the agreed conditions and how it affects the requested outcome. Ask for an approved next step before performing additional work.

Completion handoff

Identify the completed scope, summarize the evidence provided and clearly describe any unresolved condition or follow-up recommendation. Use the approved work-order channel for customer-specific records.

4. Customer-care resources and next steps

Read the Customer Care and Property Standards for preparation, respectful access, privacy, communication and completion expectations. The How It Works guide explains the eight-step partner pathway. Keep customer access information and records within the designated communication process.

WERKS CREW identifies WHO brings the skill. WERKS EXCHANGE explains WORK and opportunity review. Independent businesses retain their identities, professional workwear and control of their lawful methods. These resources do not guarantee approval, jobs, earnings or an exclusive territory.

For general planning, see the U.S. Small Business Administration business-management resources. Partners remain responsible for applicable credentials and should consult their own advisers for business-specific questions. These planning outlines do not replace legal, tax, insurance or licensing advice.

Turn the resources into a one-page briefing

Before a review conversation, prepare a short briefing that names your company, the person authorized to discuss work, the categories you offer and the places you actually serve. Separate confirmed capabilities from services you may add later. List open questions about access, materials, completion records and change approval. Keep customer-specific details out of a general introduction. This makes the next conversation easier to follow and gives your business a clear record of what still needs agreement.
