Appliance repair. Your expertise, your business.

Who is this appliance repair pathway for?

Independent appliance-service businesses can introduce their diagnostic and repair capabilities. Each proposed work order needs a clear appliance category, reported symptom and agreed scope before your business decides whether to accept.

Clarify the diagnostic scope and authorization before accepting work.

Independent appliance-repair businesses may receive opportunities involving diagnosis, maintenance, parts replacement, installation-related correction, or repair of approved residential and light-commercial appliances. Strong partners combine technical troubleshooting with accurate model/serial documentation and clear customer explanations.

A work order should identify the appliance category, reported symptom, location, access constraints, diagnostic expectation, and proposed price. The partner chooses whether to accept based on brand expertise, parts access, risk, credentials, and travel. Acceptance does not guarantee follow-on repair authorization; additional scope and parts require written approval.

Licensing and certification language

Partners must hold credentials required for the precise task. Gas connections, hard-wired circuits, plumbing changes, refrigeration systems, and commercial equipment may require licensed trades, permits, inspections, manufacturer authorization, or EPA Section 608 certification. Go Werks Pro qualification is not a license. A partner must refuse or lawfully coordinate work beyond its authorization.

The partner remains independent and non-exclusive, supplies its own tools and training, and receives no employee benefits or guaranteed calls. Diagnostic and repair pricing is agreed per work order, with customer authorization required for changed scope.

3 essential questions before accepting appliance repair work

  1. Is the appliance and symptom identified? Clarify the appliance category, available model information and reported concern. Identify what the proposed diagnostic visit is intended to establish.
  2. Does the work fit your business capability? Review brand experience, parts access, travel and the task boundaries. Ask for missing information before committing to an unfamiliar scope.
  3. What needs separate authorization? Distinguish diagnosis from follow-on repair, additional parts and changed scope. Confirm the communication channel and required approval before proceeding beyond the accepted work order.

Prepare your appliance repair business profile

List appliance categories and brands your company actually supports, relevant experience, service area and the diagnostic or repair scopes it can consider. State exclusions clearly. Initial contact should explain your business capability; avoid sharing private customer records or assuming a particular repair call is available.

Review how the partner pathway works, the customer-care standards and partner resources. Share your actual service area and relevant experience through the custom application form. An introduction starts a review; it does not accept a job or guarantee assignments.

WERKS CREW identifies WHO brings the skill. WERKS EXCHANGE explains WORK and opportunity review. Independent businesses retain their own names, logos, appropriate workwear and choice of work. Exchange samples are illustrative and do not confirm an available job or price.

For broader company planning, see the U.S. Small Business Administration business-management guide. Confirm scope-specific requirements through the designated review process before committing your company.

Questions before accepting work

Does a diagnostic visit authorize every repair?

No. The existing partner guidance separates diagnostic expectations from follow-on work. Additional parts or scope require written approval through the designated process.

Can I decline an appliance opportunity?

Yes. Evaluate the category, brand, parts access, travel, risk and required credentials before acceptance. Your business can ask for clarification or decline an unsuitable work order.

Does joining guarantee appliance calls?

No. Business review does not guarantee calls, revenue or earnings. Each opportunity depends on customer demand and fit and requires its own mutually agreed scope and price.
