THE WORK YOU KNOW · A NEW WAY TO CONTRIBUTE
It can begin with a person demonstrating an everyday task in an approved recording space. A project team turns selected recordings and explanations into organized examples for research. You may demonstrate folding a towel, describe how you recognize a surface, or review whether a task was completed correctly. You do not need to pretend to be a robot.
A dataset is simply a carefully organized collection of examples. The research team decides what must be captured and how it will be used. An ordinary cleaning video is not automatically suitable robot-training data.
Prepare the space and show the approved task. Explain tools, sequence and stopping points.
Use the agreed cameras and views. Capture only the people, surfaces and actions approved for that project.
Identify actions and objects. Check quality, flag uncertainty and explain what successful completion means.
Researchers use suitable examples to develop or test systems. Robot-control training may require additional robot demonstrations and measurements.
WHY THIS MATTERS
A towel, a delicate finish and a cluttered counter each call for different actions. Robotics researchers study how systems can work across different tasks, objects and environments. Structured examples and careful evaluation help them measure progress.
Your professional contribution is the context: what you notice, why one approach fits, and when a task needs human judgment. Our ambition is to connect that practical knowledge with well-defined data projects.

PICTURE THE ASSIGNMENT
Demonstrate a specified towel fold in a staged setting. Explain the sequence and review whether the result meets the brief. A researcher specifies capture views and any labels.
Identify a surface, check product instructions and explain an approved care sequence. Show where you would pause and ask for guidance.
Sort approved household objects by project instructions. Explain placement choices and flag ambiguous items for review.
These are assignment examples. Confirmed projects, schedules and equipment are agreed separately.
YOUR KNOWLEDGE · YOUR CHOICE
Expressing interest is not a job offer or a guarantee of assignments. No fixed rate or recurring hours are promised. Payment for agreed work does not depend on a future dataset sale. Purchasing a GROW plan is not required.
Not necessarily. Initial projects may involve human demonstrations or annotations. Direct robot operation requires separate equipment, training and safety procedures.
Only with separate, specific permission covering the people, property and intended data use. Begin in an approved demonstration space. Review licensing, retention and withdrawal terms before capture; do not send client recordings with an inquiry.
Demonstration, annotation and quality review are possible ways to contribute to data work. A career pathway depends on actual project demand, training and performance. We do not promise ongoing employment or future earnings.
No. An educational broadcast and a research dataset are different deliverables. Research capture needs its own brief, permissions, formats and quality checks.
