GO WERKS PRO UNIVERSITY · INTRODUCTORY COURSE
Get Found Locally: SEO, AEO & GEO
Build a clear local presence for your service business and understand what search optimization can—and cannot—do.
Self-paced introductory reading and practice. No enrollment, certificate or private coaching is included. Do not enter client or sensitive information in these exercises.
Lesson 1: Define the customer and service
Choose one service you can deliver reliably and the area you genuinely serve. Write a sentence naming the customer, the service and the practical outcome. A clear service page answers who it is for, what is included, where you work and how to request an estimate. Avoid creating near-identical pages for cities just to attract search traffic.
Lesson 2: Make your business understandable
Keep your business identity and contact information accurate across your site and eligible business profiles. Describe real services, show permissioned examples and answer questions customers actually ask. Use descriptive headings and working internal links. Structured data should describe the visible page accurately; it does not purchase a ranking.
Lesson 3: Measure visibility and inquiries
Use Search Console to review queries, impressions, clicks and indexing. Track inquiries and bookings separately. AI mentions require separate observation; a Google ranking does not prove AI visibility. Review one meaningful page improvement at a time. Never promise a first-page position or an AI recommendation.
Put it to work
Write one service-page outline with five customer questions, a truthful service area and one inquiry action. Identify how you will record the source of each new inquiry.
Your notes stay on this page and are not submitted or saved. Copy them to your own document to keep them.
Check your understanding
Does a top Google ranking guarantee AI mentions?
Reveal the answer
No. Track organic search and AI visibility separately.
